About Koh Phangan

Koh Phangan is a large island off the east coast of Surat Thani province in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Phangan is located about 100 km offshore and about 15 km north of Koh Samui. Most well-known for its monthly Full Moon Party, Koh Phangan features some of the most spectacular beaches in Thailand, most of which are still only moderately developed, providing visitors with easy access to either a while beach party, or a relaxing and quiet beach holiday.

Apart from the beautiful beach and deep blue sea water, Koh Phangan offers tourists natural attractions i.e. waterfalls, mountains, local coconut farms and fishery at Chaloklum Village. Wonderful scenery is waiting for you since you are on board on the island.

 

Thansadet Waterfall and Beaches

 

 

Thansadet is iconic natural attractions, known for its rich history, stunning waterfalls, and serene beaches. It’s an essential stop for nature lovers and those seeking tranquility. It is known locally as the royal river, since the engravings of numerous Thai kings are found in the area, as a symbol of their visits to this majestic place.

The park has a rich history that dates back to 1888, which was when King Rama V discovered the park. He was blown away by its beauty, and he carved his initials onto a rock near the waterfalls. King Rama V set a trend that was then followed by the succeeding kings who visited the park; one that is followed to this present day.

This is why a highlight of visiting the falls is taking time to see the stone and inscriptions, which features royal signatures from Thailand’s kings. Not only is the stone a tourist attraction, but the Thai people also honor it due to its significance.

 

Bottle Beach View Point and Lunch

Bottle Beach has the most beautiful and secluded beaches and its view. Renowned for its pristine beauty and peaceful atmosphere. It’s a must-visit for those looking to escape the crowds and a stunning view point overlooking Bottle Beach.

Coconut Farming

 

Coconut farming remains a symbol of Koh Phangan’s traditional way of life and a vital connection to its cultural heritage, blending agriculture with the island’s natural beauty. Here, you will have the chance to see the local coconut farmers grow their coconut and the process which they do to make coconut milk or peel coconut etc. This is one of truly amazing experience!
